Provenza is part of the staff of the L.A.P.D. as seen in a Sesame Street parody of The Closer.

The chief (nicknamed "The Closer") finds Provenza's suitcase as one of the many un-closed cases in the office. He states he was planning a trip to his grandmother's, but couldn't shut the suitcase. "The Closer" solves the problem by dumping the clothes inside onto the floor, then closing the case.

He is a caricature of Louie Provenza, G. W. Bailey's character from The Closer.
