Zuzu is a little purple monster from Takalani Sesame, South Africa's Sesame Street co-production. Zuzu speaks Sesotho and English.

Like the other stars of the series, a walk-around version has appeared at various events and promotions.

Zuzu is a six-year-old perfectionist with a strong sense of drama. She is obsessed with displaying this drama through stage re-enactments, plays, video and film shoots, or simply play-acting. She loves to direct these shows and often casts herself in the leading role. She is focused, determined, and inventive. When she's not gathering information for her latest play, she's busy finding out answers to some unique new questions about the world around her.
