Yves-Marie Maurin (1944-2009) was a French actor who dubbed Boober Fraggle in the French co-production of Fraggle Rock. He was also heard in the French dub of Farscape, as Gaashah in "A Prefect Murder." His brother, Jean-François Vlérick, dubbed Stark on Farscape
Maurin came from a theatrical family and began his career as a child, appearing in such films as the French thriller Les Diaboliques (1955) and The Happy Road (1957, with Gene Kelly). Later appearances included guest roles on the British detective series Bergerac and Lovejoy and various French films and television programs.
More active as a dubber, Maurin was the French voice of David Hasselhoff on Knight Rider, Baywatch and in various films; Richard Dawson on Hogan's Heroes; Michael Moriarty on Law & Order; and John James on Dynasty. His animation work included the French productions Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea (as Spartakus) and Rene Laloux's animated feature Time Masters (as Matton), as well as dubbing Samson in the Hanna-Barbera series Samson and Goliath.
