Yo-Yo Ma

Yo-Yo Ma (b. 1955) is perhaps the world's most famous cellist.
He appeared on Sesame Street in the 1980s where Elmo sees his cello and thinks it is a "big fiddle" that belongs to Snuffy, in contrast to Elmo's "little fiddle" (a violin). Then when Bob and Yo-Yo Ma come to straighten things out, he and Elmo play music together. He also made a later appearance where he was challenged by Hoots the Owl to make the same sounds with his cello that Hoots made with his saxophone. (EKA: Episode 3729)
Ma contributed a "Barbecued Spareribs with Beer and Honey" recipe for Miss Piggy's 1996 cookbook, In the Kitchen with Miss Piggy.
