"Wilkommen" is the opening number from the Broadway musical Cabaret, in which the Emcee of the titular German cabaret metatheatrically welcomes the audience to his show in three languages.
The song was performed in episode 103 of The Muppet Show by Joel Grey, who originated the role of the Emcee on Broadway and reprised the role in the film starring Liza Minnelli. Seated in the cabaret in the number are Dr. Teeth, Green Frackle, Droop, Wayne and Wanda, Janice, Zoot, Jerry, Gonzo, Mildred Huxtetter, and a Muppet Woman, with short appearances by Muppy, Catgut, Baskerville the Hound, Pigs, and Kermit.
