Willie Nelson and the Muppets

Willie Nelson (b. 1933) is a country music singer who has been recording studio albums since the early 1960s. He was a member of the country supergroup The Highwaymen in the late 1980s, with Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.

In 2001, Nelson titled his 55th album after the first track, a cover of "The Rainbow Connection". That same year, he was honored at the Songwriters Hall of Fame where he posed for photos with Judy Collins, "The Rainbow Connection" composer Paul Williams, and award presenter Kermit the Frog.

In 2005, Nelson performed "The Rainbow Connection" with Gonzo for the Paul Williams DVD/CD release I'm Going Back There Someday.
