William Joyce (b. 1957) is a children's book author, illustrator, and screenwriter who co-wrote the screen story for the Creature Shop film Buddy and served as co-producer on the film. He also made two cameo appearances in the film, as a screaming man and as a man subjecting himself to brain augmentation at the 1932 World's Fair. His illustration work has appeared in Sesame Street Magazine, creating a pull-out poster depicting Joyce's home state of Louisiana for the September, 1994 issue.

Much of Joyce's work has been adapted for animation in recent years, with Joyce executive producing and scripting Rolie Polie Olie, George Shrinks, and the feature Meet the Robinsons (based on A Day with Wilbur Robinson). Joyce's other film work includes visual development for Pixar's Toy Story and A Bug's Life, producing and designing the animated feature Robots, and designing the opening titles for Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
