Leo Sayer sang his 1977 #1 hit "When I Need You" on episode 302 of The Muppet Show. During the number he is trapped in a tree by a bear. The bear is joined by a number of other woodland animals, including a beaver and a woodpecker, and they try to down the tree. Crazy Harry finally gets Leo down by blowing up the tree.

Sayer's recording of the song also appeared on his album "Endless Flight".
