"What Makes a Fly Fly?" was sung by Big Bird on Sesame Street.

While pushing some kids on a swing in the park, Big Bird notices a bee buzzing around, and wonders where it gets its instincts. In song, he also wonders what makes a fly fly, a flower flower, the leaves leave, and other actions.

When the song was released for albums, some of Big Bird's lines were replaced, and the song was turned into a duet between Big Bird and Hoots the Owl.
