Westworld is a 1973 science fiction film written and directed by Michael Crichton about an amusement park inhabited by androids. It spawned a sequel called Futureworld in 1976, and a TV series for CBS called Beyond Westworld in 1980. HBO launched another TV series in 2016, using the franchise's original name, Westworld.
