Wal-Mart is a major store chain. It has sold a number of exclusive video and DVD releases of various Henson-related productions.
Wal-Mart originally sold Fraggle Rock: Where It All Began exclusively on video and DVD in 2004, before the DVD was rereleased as a special edition in other stores. In 2006, Wal-Mart released a number of Sesame Street DVDs, each featuring hour-long episodes. DVDs included The Furry Red Monster Parade, The Letter of the Month Club, and Elmo and Zoe's Scientific Exploration.
In a 2005 interview [1], Jerry Juhl revealed that the only time he ever went into a Wal-Mart was to buy a copy of the exclusive Where It All Began DVD.
Wal-Mart was a sponsor for Talk, Listen, Connect and When Parents Are Deployed.
