Vernon the Grizzly Bear appears in episode 122 of The Animal Show.

Vernon is Jake's cousin. Stinky wanted Vernon to talk about hibernating, but he could not say anything about it since he are asleep. Instead, he talks about how bears fish and about his and Jake's black bear cousins Sam and Will.

Vernon is a refurbished Billy the Bear from The Muppet Show. His altered features were first used for the special John Denver and the Muppets: Rocky Mountain Holiday. The same puppet was also seen in A Muppet Family Christmas, chopping down their Christmas tree and during Fozzie and the Snowman's performance of "Sleigh Ride."
