Ursula Vogel in 1987

Ursula Vogel (1918-2006) was a German voice actress who was heard in the German dub of Dog City as Ms. Fluffé (Madame Fluffe).

Vogel was the German voice of Bea Arthur on The Golden Girls for the first season and part of the second. She dubbed Janet Leigh and other guests on Columbo, Jenny O'Hara on The King of Queens, Ethel Merman and others on Batman, Mary Wickes in Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows, and Elizabeth Spriggs in the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes installment The Last Vampire. In animation, she voiced Frau Mövenpick in the 1997 German animated feature Kleines Arschloch, Bev Bighead on Rocko's Modern Life, Mother Nature on The Smurfs, Lady Rataxes on Babar, and Aunt Em in The Wizard of Oz anime. She lent her voice to video games including Toonstruck (Marge the cow), Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny (Kit'yara), and Escape from Monkey Island (Miss Rivers).

On-camera, Vogel appeared on the German TV series Hessische Geschichten and Tatort. Most of her career was spent in audio dramas for records, cassettes, CDs, and sometimes the radio. Often playing authority figures in children's franchises (such as school principals, teachers, or neighbors), she was heard frequently in the Three Investigators series (filling in as Aunt Mathilda, and other parts), the Enid Blyton series Famous Five and St. Clare's (as headmistress Miss Theobald), in mysteries (Edgar Wallace, Sherlock Holmes, Father Brown), and in adaptations (the owl in Bambi, Mother Wolf in The Jungle Book). In a series of Disney cassettes from 1981, she typically voiced villainous roles such as the evil queen in Snow White, Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty, and Madame Medusa in The Rescuers.
