Udo Schenk (b. 1953) is a German actor and voice artist who dubbed Pepe in Das Grösste Muppet-Weihnachtsspektakel aller Zeiten (It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie) and Big Papa in the German dub of Muppets Most Wanted.
Schenk is the standard German voice of Ray Liotta, Ralph Fiennes (including The English Patient), and Gary Oldman (including Batman Begins). He dubbed Brad Dourif in The Lord of the Rings movies and on Deadwood, David Hyde Pierce in The Fisher King, Stanley Tucci in Terminal, Robert Picardo in Gremlins 2, John Hawkes in Home Fries, and Watto in the Star Wars prequels. He also dubbed Yoda in various animated Star Wars tie-ins.
On-camera, Schenk has worked steadily in German film and television, including appearing regularly on the hospital drama In aller Freundschaft (In All Friendship) as Dr. Kaminski, from 2007 onward. Often playing villains, he has portrayed Adolf Hitler in five movies to date, beginning with 2004's Operation Valkyrie and including one each from India, Italy (Mussolini's Daughter), and France (La Rafle with Jean Reno). Other TV credits include multiple appearances on Der Alte, Tatort, and Derrick, as well as Edgar Wallace TV movies, documentary narration, and the voice of Kaiser Wilhelm in the documentary miniseries Die Deutschen (The Germans).
Schenk has also been active in audio recordings, often literary adaptations, playing Dr. Jekyll in The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, John Douglas in Anne of Green Gables, parts in the The Three Investigators series, and various roles (from policeman to criminal) in the Sherlock Holmes adaptations.
