"U Really Got a Hold on Me" is a Sesame Street parody of the song "You Really Got a Hold on Me" by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles.
In this segment, Smokey sings a parody of his own song "You Really Got a Hold on Me" as a large red female letter U appears and grabs Smokey while he sings. Smokey tries to push the U off of him, but U's grip is too strong. The female U tugs on his left leg, squirms all over his body, and squeezes Smokey's head tightly between her sides. The U even picks Smokey up and rocks him back and forth in the air while he kicks his legs up and down madly. The U carries Smokey into the distance, but he gets away and runs for it. The U chases after Smokey. In the end, Smokey tires of trying to run and hide from U, and they become friends. Smokey holds the U in his arm as they walk away together.
