"U Really Got a Hold on Me" is a Sesame Street parody of the song "You Really Got a Hold on Me" by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles.

In this segment, Smokey sings a parody of his own hit song that he sang with the Miracles, "You Really Got a Hold on Me" as a large red female letter U appears and grabs Smokey while he sings, because the letter U literally has a hold on him. Smokey tries to get the U off of him, but U's grip is too strong. The U squirms all over his body, tugs on one of his legs, and squeezes Smokey's head tightly between her sides. The U even picks Smokey up and rocks him back and forth in the air while he kicks his legs up and down madly. The U carries Smokey away. Smokey then runs away from the U, but she chases after him. At the end, Smokey appears holding the female U with his arm as they walk away together as boyfriend and girlfriend.
