Twill appeared in an Ed Sullivan Show sketch, "The String Quartet". He was one of the violin players, and served as the leader; He was most vocal in dealing with Mahna Mahna, who replaced unseen violinist Beegleman, only to play the drums instead of the violin.
The Twill puppet was recycled from Fred, and would later be recycled into Zelda Rose.
