Trumpet Girl

Added by Drillbit TaylorTrumpet Girl is the female trumpet player in The Muppet Show orchestra. She played the trumpet in the orchestra from the first through the fourth seasons. In the show's fifth season, because of the addition of trumpeter Lips to the band, Trumpet Girl permanently took up the trombone, which she first played in episode 415. In season five, her eyes were shown open for the first time. She had a brief line in episode 123, where she was performed by Eren Ozker.
The Whatnot puppet was also used in utility functions, often seen as a chorus girl and as an unnamed dancer in "At the Dance" sketches during the first season. She made rare appearances with open eyelids before the fifth season in episodes 105, 117, and 222. In episodes 117 andd 222, she was seen with a small nose. In the latter, she was played by Frank Oz and Louise Gold. In "The Muppet Show Book", her skin is brown, rather than a purple/pink color.
The character had no actual name, as the Muppet Show scripts referred to her simply as "Trumpet Girl." [1]
She made no further appearances outside The Muppet Show until the 2011 film The Muppets, where she was performed by Rashida Jones. Jones gave her the name "Delores." [2]
