"Trees" is a popular poem by Joyce Kilmer that has been set to music. It was used as a song twice on The Muppet Show.
- In episode 113, it is sung by Wayne and Wanda, who are interrupted when a tree falls on Wayne.
- Miss Piggy sings "Trees" for the UK Spot in episode 401, and is heckled by the tree.

- In Episode 0034 of Sesame Street, Oscar the Grouch writes his variation of the poem: "I think that I shall never see - a Grouch with so much grouchiness as me." He searches for more rhyming words and includes "three."
- Big Bird does a variation of the poem as a way to motivate his plant to grow in Episode 1065 of Sesame Street.
- Scooter plays a tree and recites his own version of the poem in the 1980 viewmaster reel The Muppets Audition Night.
- Forgetful Jones parodies the poem in Episode 1719 of Sesame Street as he tries to come up with rhymes for the word "tree."
- Mad Dog recites the poem as part of his one-dog stage presentation "Mad Dog Presents Joyce Kilmer" in the third season Dog City episode "Reduce, Reuse, Retrieve."
- Sherry Netherland paraphrases the poem in Episode 3275 of Sesame Street. She changes the topic to fleas instead as a way to get a rowdy flea circus in control when they get loose in the Furry Arms Hotel, believing the sentimentality will get them back into their box (it doesn't).
