The Today Show is a daily morning news and talk program on NBC.

The Muppets were frequent guests on The Today Show in the early 1960s, doing local cut-ins for the show from Washington, D.C. Muppets making appearances included Sam from Sam and Friends and an early Kermit the Frog. Jim Henson and Jane Henson (who performed the numbers) were also interviewed occasionally.

Current co-host Matt Lauer and weatherman Al Roker have both appeared on Sesame Street. Former Today co-host Bryant Gumbel contributed a recipe for Miss Piggy's 1996 cookbook, In the Kitchen with Miss Piggy.

In episode 103 of The Jim Henson Hour, Fozzie Bear visited The Today Show and met Willard Scott and Jane Pauley.
