Thudge is one of the monsters who try to steal Christmas in an Ed Sullivan Show sketch featuring Arthur Godfrey. Thudge is a blue monster with a round purple nose.

Thudge later appeared in The Great Santa Claus Switch, a brief cameo appearance in a Sesame Street Number Song Series with other Monsters also previously seen on The Ed Sullivan Show, The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence, and a Better World Society ad.
