  • (Trying to guide the YT Ulitsa Sezam episodes. Kinda hard to find certain segments sometimes, so I'm taking the Hooperfan route and posting screencaps to be turned into a proper guide later. It'll stay in the Sandbox because I have no further info regarding air dates or other official stuff. It's just helpful to have around until further infor can be found. 12 and 13 are already on the page and I fully guided 1-11 and 17. Any help in editing the Sandbox would be much appreciated.)

    • "Taking the Hooperfan route", LOL... I don't blame you, I tried making a guide once, but I'm very naive when it comes to that, so I just send screengrabs meself...let the professionals do it...they don't seem to mind  :)

    • Yeah. It's just that the wiki's so dense so it's impossible to find certain American films/cartoons. So I'm hoping someone will help me out with the remainder of the guides. Don't know if Shane would help out (seeing as there isn't any official info on the episodes yet, just that they exist). I'm just putting up screencaps until then.

    • I can ID the majority of American bits. I will say there's two issues for making these:

      1. Doesn't anyone speak Russian? A lot of this will be based on interpretation, so the information won't be as complete as it can be. 2. We don't know an official order or airdate for these episodes, and a "list of...episodes" page could get really long with tons of separate tables.

    • I have a translator friend. He tends to be pretty swamped (he does it for a living, mostly for TV broadcasters), but if there's links to specific bits where you want to start, I can pass them on in e-mail. Don't expect anything too soon, but he usually fits them in when he feels like translating but wants a break from Russian-dubbed Hungarian medieval soap operas.

      1. Yeah, that's been a major wrinkle, though the solution offered above would be an absolute godsend if possible (I can send a link to the playlist of episodes, plus one more that isn't there). I've had to leave a couple of descriptions blank because of my lack of knowledgable Russian (though I think anybody'd be willing to break for "Healthy Food" in Russian).

      2. That's been a major wrinkle for me, and part of why I'm keeping all the guides on the Sandbox page for now. I don't know whether or not to make separate Sandbox pages for all the episodes I've found so far or just make it one long (organized) page for all of them until further information is found. I wish there was some sort of Russian TV guide (like the Japanese guides) to help out (though, again, there is the language barrier.) As long as we can guide them for now and then sort them out if/when further information becomes available, it'll do the job. I just want to get started with it.

Of course, it would also help to find more episodes, as I'm positive there's more than the 59 or so on YT at the moment. But again, the frustrating thing is the speculative nature of it all and the lack of Russian contacts.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

      Here's the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4uSs79W8jWsk0uZ0XGt2ni9wWO2QcMAS

      And the extra episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz29YGbGIzs

(Note: this isn't really necessary for the guides, but if your friend has any idea what "Do De Rubber Duck" translates to in Russian, it'd do a lot to satisfy my curiosity - not even Google Translate's helped me figure that one out.)
