  • In the test episodes and in the first episodes of the first season of Sesame Street, Ernie looks a little more different: his nose is more opaque and it's placed in a higher place in his face and the pupils are more higher.

    • There's not really that distinct a difference between the two compared to what follows chronologically. Plus, his face in the second image is merely from a different angle, so the differences you notice may be based on perspective, not by the puppet. The second image pretty much sums up what he looked like during that entire era, so it's fitting.
