"There's a Promise" is sung by the Fraggles as Cantus arrives in the Fraggle Rock episode "The Bells of Fraggle Rock." The song anticipates the beginning of the Festival of the Bells, which "promises" that the extreme cold in Fraggle Rock will soon end.

The song is reprised at the end of the episode as the credits roll, during the time that the closing theme traditionally plays. This marks the first of three times that the regular scat version of the theme is being replaced by an alternate song during the end-credit roll. The other two episodes to feature a different song or version of the theme are The River of Life and Change of Address.
