The View is a daily talk show created by ABC News correspondent Barbara Walters, who hosted the program from its premiere in 1997 through 2014. Co-hosts have included Whoopi Goldberg, Raven-Symoné, Candace Cameron Bure, Elisabeth Hasselbeck (2003-2013), Jenny McCarthy (2013-2014), Rosie O'Donnell (2006-2007), Sherri Shepherd (2007-2014), and Meredith Vieira (1997-2006).

Kermit and Miss Piggy appear on the special "Viewsical" episode to promote Muppets Haunted Mansion. For Halloween, Kermit is dressed in his Scarecrow costume from The Muppets' Wizard of Oz. Piggy is dressed as Dorothy, but claims she would've reprised her role as the Wicked Witch of the West had she won an Emmy. Piggy tries to talk executive producer Brian Teta, dressed as the Wizard, into giving her a co-host position. Kermit and Piggy also sing a portion of "Life Hereafter." Bradley Freeman Jr. served as an assistant puppeteer for this appearance.[2] (YouTube)

  • September 19, 2006: Shortly after his world-premiere on the Today Show, Rosie O'Donnell reveals the new T.M.X. Elmo to her audience and puts the first one to come off the assembly line up for auction, marked with the number 1 and autographed by Elmo Muppeteer Kevin Clash, and Mattel President Neil Friedman.
  • September 27, 2006: O'Donnell presents the results for the auction of the first T.M.X. Elmo. The show raised $4,200 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. By matching the $4,200 donation, viewers will receive their own T.M.X. Elmo signed by all four ladies of The View.
  • July 21, 2022 episode: In response to the Sesame Place Rosita walk-around situation, Goldberg emphasized to the audience that the park was a licensee of the brand, not owned by Sesame Workshop. She recounted talking to the Workshop, and says "And if you think they did not catch hell for what was done, it's crazy." (YouTube)
