- Around 1999/2000, the Muppets spoofed The Three Tenors on a V-chip commercial, where three very close likenesses of pig tenors performed "The Toreador Song" with Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. They appeared again in a Odyssey Network promo where they sing for Miss Piggy's theme song audition.
- The Three Elmos are a spoof of this trio of opera singers, imagined by Dorothy in the "Singing" episode of "Elmo's World". As in all of Dorothy's fantasies, the trio looks and sounds exactly like Elmo. They perform excerpts from "Figaro." At one point, one Elmo questions who Figaro is, and another answers "Go figure".
