"The Shagri-Las" is a Sesame Street song performed by the monster group of the same name. Making their first live appearance in a long time at Birdland, the monsters sing about how shaggy they are, and point to their various shaggy parts. They then encourage the crowd and viewer to point along, whether they "have shag or not."

The song is a spoof of "Remember (Walkin' in the Sand)" by the Shangri-Las.
