The Powerpuff Girls is an animated series on Cartoon Network about three little girls who have super powers.
- In the episode "The Rowdy Ruff Boys," Bubbles smashes through a grocery store window. The elderly clerk asks her if she's all right. She replies, "Yeah I'm alright. Sorry about your window, Mr. Looper," and the clerk shouts, "It's Cooper! Cooper!" A reference to Big Bird often confusing Mr. Hooper's name.
- In The PowerPuff Girls Movie when the girls are walking past the TV store, the news shows a logo very similar to the Sesame Street News Flash title card.
- According to the show's creator Craig McCracken, the character "Fuzzy Lumpkins" was inspired by Rainbow Brite and Muppet characters. [1]
