The Pecan Tree is a story told by "Gordon of Sesame Street" which was published as a book, and as a book and record set. The book tells the story of Agriculture Carter, who grew small vegtables for his small village. One day Agriculture Carter grew a pecan tree, which grew so large that it grew all over the tiny village, its pecans destroying houses when they fell to the ground. Upset from the damage, the villagers chop down the Pecan Tree, and enjoy a giant Pecan Pie at the end of the book.
