An enchanted princess (played by Dodi) sings the song to the poor shepherd (Basil), explaining why she's been the one behind all the mischief in the woods. She states that when she moved to the woods, she was terrified by the locals that she covered up her own fear by striking it into her neighbors. But, she decides to change her ways when she's told that the Creatures of the Forest are harmless folk.
She is accompanied by the shepherd's sheep, as well as the various enchanted items in her house (the piano, metronome, cauldron and dishes). The song also incorporates the melody of "Home on the Range" for one verse.
