The Odyssey is an epic two-part miniseries, similar to Gulliver's Travels, adapting the Greek epic poem of the same name. The production aired over NBC and was executive produced by Francis Ford Coppola. Jim Henson's Creature Shop provided an array of creature effects, including a talking animatronic pig roasting on a spit, the CG creature Scylla, a rod-puppet se slug who devours the prophet Laocoon, and a full-bodied cyclops, performed by sumo wrestler Reid Asato.
