The National Association of "W" Lovers is an organization devoted to recognizing and celebrating the values of the letter W. Bert is the chairperson, and leads the club into their anthem, in which he sings about the letter, giving examples of what certain words would sound like without the W.
Members include Ernie, Mr. Johnson, and various Anything Muppets.
The sketch was included in The Best of Ernie and Bert. In the introduction for this sketch, Big Bird told Ernestine about what some of the club's activities were, including reciting W words and drawing letter Ws.
