The Magic Apple is a Sesame Street story told by Bob and acted out by Ernie, Bert and three Anything Muppets. (First: Episode 0133)
Ernie plays a "poor but honest farm boy" who would like to marry a princess, and to live in a palace with Rubber Duckies and banana milkshakes. A fairy godmother grants him that wish, but only if he can pick a magic apple from a tree.
A neighboring farmer tries to help Ernie get the apple (first by shaking the tree, then by giving Ernie a boost so he can pick it), but when nothing works Ernie decides to take a break. As he is napping under the tree, the apple suddenly falls into his mouth! Just then, a king arrives and chooses Ernie to marry his daughter, "the lovely princess Gwendolinda"...actually Bert, who looks anything but lovely in drag.
