Added by Toughpigs"The Lonely Goatherd," from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music, is a yodelling song. In the film adaptation of the musical, it was performed by Julie Andrews with the von Trapp children during a puppetetry sequence conceived by Bil Baird.
Julie Andrews sang "The Lonely Goatherd" as the opening number on episode 217 of The Muppet Show. She was backed by a chorus of Muppets that included the Goat, Annie Sue, Gonzo, Miss Mousey, Rowlf, Baskerville, the Beagle and the Afghan Hound. The sketch was performed on the same set and with many of the same Muppets that would perform "Upidee" on episode 220.
