"The Grouch's Lullaby" is sung by Oscar the Grouch in Episode 0897 of Sesame Street.
Oscar has a tough time trying to get his baby nephew to take a nap. He enlists the help of the Grouch Group, a band staying inside of his trash can to perform the noisy, not-so-soothing lullaby as he sings lead. Lyrics include references to dreaming of broken bottles and waking to the sun shining on torn pages of the New York Times. Oscar's nephew still refuses to sleep until Oscar threatens to sing the song again.
The Grouch Group, unseen from within the can, are voiced by Christopher Cerf, Richard Hunt, and Jerry Nelson.
