The Gambler sang the opening verse, offering Kenny Rogers his advice. Two other old men were also present. All three Muppet men had live human hands and detailed, realistic faces.
Pepe the King Prawn sang part of the song in Muppets from Space after he won the card game with Kermit the Frog, Rizzo the Rat, and Clifford.
