The Fazoobs are four musical aliens from the Planet Koozebane who auditioned for a spot on The Muppet Show in episode 208.
The puppets used for the Fazoobs appeared in the background in a few first season episodes, including Ben Vereen's number, "Pure Imagination", in episode 117.
Cute, the trumpet fazoob, and Cannon[1] perform "Isn't This a Lovely Day" in episode 504.
After The Muppet Show, some of the Fazoob puppets appeared in other Muppet productions:
- The round, purple Fazoob with the green fin (seen in the right hand corner of the picture) also appeared during the opening of the first "Tales from the Vet" sketch on Muppets Tonight, on Mopatop's Shop, in the 1984 storybook Bo Saves the Show, and the wedding finale in The Muppets Take Manhattan.
- The yellow-headed Fazoob with a red body (seen at the left of the picture) appeared in the wedding finale of The Muppets Take Manhattan and as a producer on Muppets Tonight.
- Cute appeared in the wedding finale of The Muppets Take Manhattan, an episode of Mopatop's Shop and the opening theme for "The Ghost of Faffner Hall".
- All four Fazoobs appear as enemies in The Muppets Movie Adventures.
