The Disney Christmas Special aired on ITV in the United Kingdom in 1989, hosted by Chris Tarrant. The show features performances by Tom Jones, Five Star, the pirates from Peter Pan and Herbie the Love Bug.

Miss Piggy appears in one sequence, arriving by horse-drawn carriage to a royal ball. She dances with several gentlemen attendees as she sings "Some Day My Prince Will Come." Among the dancers are Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, to whom Piggy pays no attention. As the sequence goes on, Piggy becomes more aggressive in her search by separating lady dancers from their suitors. As she spies a prince sitting across the room, she runs to him and kisses the unsuspecting man... who turns into Kermit the Frog.
