The Cream is the subject of a famous cookie painting by Edvard Munch, as seen in the Sesame Street special The Cookie Thief.
As explained by guide Prairie Dawn, the Cream was ready to be painted by Munch, who requests a cookie from his assistant (played by Grover). In his haste, Grover trips and falls, breaking the cookie and startling the subject, who elicits a loud, surprised howl.
