The Cowardly Lion is a character in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, as well as other Oz books and movies. In The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, he wants to be a stand-up comedian, much like Fozzie Bear in real life.

Other portrayals

Fozzie also performed the role when the Muppets performed a Wizard of Oz medley in The Muppets Go to the Movies.

In "The Wizard of Foz," a comic from Muppet Magazine issue 4, the role was played by Animal.
