The Midship Detective Agency with the Muppets (also known as The Case of the Stolen Show) is a Muppets Adventure Game that debuted aboard the Disney cruise ship, the Disney Fantasy, when it started its maiden voyage on March 31, 2012.

The game is an interactive quest around the ship via pieces of "Enchanted Art" and physical clues. The goal of the game is for ship passengers to help the Muppets find their missing props so that they can put on a big show. Guests are aided by a map and a game card that reveals clues when held up in front of some of the Enchanted Art pieces.[1]

The game is a self-paced activity and features several possible endings and multiple randomized events providing a different gaming experience each time it is played.

The Muppet footage was directed by Kirk Thatcher, recorded in October 2011. An unknown voice actor added bits of off-screen dialogue for Kermit the Frog during some parts of the game, which were later rerecorded by Steve Whitmire.

The cast of Muppets in the game include Kermit the Frog, Pepe the King Prawn, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Sam the Eagle, Gonzo, Camilla the Chicken, Rowlf the Dog, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, Lew Zealand, The Swedish Chef, Beauregard, Bobo the Bear, Rizzo the Rat and Statler and Waldorf. Mickey Mouse (Bret Iwan) also makes a brief appearance at the game, in silhouette.

Description[]

At the start of the Muppets Adventure Game, you'll join some familiar faces—Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal and a cast of more than 20 Muppets who are preparing to stage a big performance. But they have a problem: Kermit's banjo is missing, Fozzie's squirting flower has vanished, Gonzo's crash helmet has gone astray, Animal's drumsticks have disappeared and the Swedish Chef can't find his cleaver! All of the props for the big show have been stolen by a cunning thief—or more likely, another Muppet.

Pepe the King Prawn offers to take on detective duties to help Kermit and the rest of the Muppets find their missing props. Kermit, worried about Pepe's lack of detective skills, turns to Guests like you for help!
