The Brothers Grimm, Jacob (1785-1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (1786–1859), were German professors who are best known for publishing collections of folk tales and fairy tales. They are probably the best known story tellers of novellas from Europe, allowing the widespread knowledge of such tales as "Snow White," "Rumpelstiltskin," "Cinderella" and "Hansel and Gretel" as well as working and putting into form many famous tales.
In the 2010 comic book adaption Muppet Snow White, Jacob and Wilhem [sic] Grimm are portrayed by Gonzo and Rizzo, respectively.
