The Bouncing Bananas appear in the Muppet Show storybook, Bo Saves the Show. Kermit is searching for monsters to perform in the final number, so he puts Scooter and Fozzie in charge of the show. Scooter sends the Bouncing Bananas onstage at the same time that Fozzie introduces Gonzo's new act -- balancing eggs on his nose while riding a squash. Because he has so many eggs on his nose, Gonzo doesn't see the Bouncing Bananas, and he squishes many members of the Banana Bunch, as well as his squash and the eggs. Later, all of this squashed stuff is eaten by monsters.
