The Blues Brothers

The Blues Brothers is a 1980 film comedy directed by John Landis, based on John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd's characters from Saturday Night Live.

At the beginning of the mall sequence, a man in a Toys R' Us checkout line is holding a Grover and an Animal doll, while Kermit dolls can be seen on the shelves in the background. He asks if the store has a Miss Piggy, just before the Blues Brothers' car careens in.

In Sesame Street Goes to the Doctor, during Elmo's song, "Feelin' Blue," Pumpkin and Fat Blue Anything Muppets dressed as the Blues Brothers provide back-up vocals. The Fat Blue AM even plays the harmonica and does a cartwheel.

Two novelty ties have featured Sesame Street characters as the Blues Brothers.
