The Barber of Seville is an 1816 Italian opera by Gioachino Rossini with a libretto by Cesare Sterbini. It was the first Italian opera performed in America.

- On episode 213 of The Muppet Show, Giuseppe Wagner is the composer of the opera The Barber of Die Fledermaus, a reference to both The Barber of Seville and Die Fledermaus.
