The Automatic Wastebasket appears in The Muppet Show episode 221 as the latest invention from Muppet Labs. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew explains that the device is intended to instantly consume any and all trash refuse. The hungry machine, crying "More! More!", tries to eat Beaker. Bunsen explains that the wastebasket is available "in both regular and housebroken models."
