Texas is the 28th state of the United States of America.

• Muppets, Inc. produced a series of ads for Taystee Bread in 1963 to air in Texas markets.

• A second American Sesame Place park existed in Dallas in the early-1980s.

• The state is home to SeaWorld Texas, owned by Busch Entertainment Corp., which is scheduled to feature Sesame Street attractions as of 2008.

• Kermit the Frog visited Kermit, TX as part of his 50th anniversary world tour.

• Kermit visited NASA's Johnson Space Center as part of his 50th anniversary world tour.

• On January 22, 2006, Henson held a special Fraggle Rock screening event in Dallas, TX. [1]

• Heather Henson and the Henson Company held "Handmade Puppet Dreams," a screening of independent puppet films, The Muppet Movie, and early Jim Henson works in Houston, TX on February 25, 2006 and Austin, TX on February 26, 2006. [2]

• Jim Henson's Creature Shop built a large scale Witch puppet for the Houston Opera's production of Hänsel und Gretel in 2006.

• In the book The Muppets Make Puppets!, the mechanical puppet Millicent Meatball has her birthplace listed as Texas.
