Segments in other segments
Edit
I think this question may have not been answered before, but I would like to ask it anyway. After watching The Neville Brothers' "Believe in Yourself" song from Episode 3158, I saw a clip of "Rockin' Robin" inside the montage. That film's current EKA is Episode 3284, and that brings me to this question: Can a clip's earliest known appearance be in a montage of clips from a segment? Matt H. (talk) 02:43, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
- No. If it's not the actual insert, just a clip or montage, there's no point in counting it as an actual eka. Feel free to mention it on the song page though, since it is a nice bit of trivia. --
- No again. We're talking about earliest known appearance of the *sketch* itself, as in the full sketch, not some brief clip or montage. It's not the sketch showing up, just a brief appearance of it. We've only ever used a cite for a montage (generally from things like the anniversary specials) when we don't know of any examples where the actual sketch appeared (and for things like a celeb guest appearance, not "Cookie Monster counts to 26" or whatever), and we replace it as soon as we find it (it doesn't matter what the year is). Using an eka in the way you describe isn't helpful, just confusing and even misleading, but like I already said, it is worth noting on the song page. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 20:35, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
