The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, also known as the Television Academy, is a "professional honourary organization" created in 1946 to advance the industry. They present the Primetime Emmy Awards.

The Daytime Emmy Awards are presented by a sister organization, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the International Emmy Awards by sister organization the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Their Television Academy Hall of Fame is commemorated through the The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza in North Hollywood. The Archive of American Television, founded in 1997, has interview videos of many people in the industry, including people associated with the Muppets.

2015 video

In 2015, the Television Academy YouTube channel produced a sketch featuring Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Julie Bowen, Animal, Viola Davis, and Joel McHale, released to promote The Muppets, the 2015 television series.
