Ted Thomas Sr. is the father of Ted Thomas, the excitable entertainment correspondent on Statler and Waldorf: From the Balcony. Ted Sr. also worked as an entertainment correspondent, prior to his son, back in 1977. In Episode 31, he is seen interviewing George Lucas (a young Ted Jr. is heard off camera).
